In line with our mission of environmental responsibility, we are introducing significant changes to our production processes by developing and implementing new methods and improved technologies in our workflow.
Here are some updates:
Straps made from paper and packaging made from recycled cardboard
To reduce our environmental impact, we are gradually replacing traditional materials with sustainable alternatives. Starting in 2021, Alusic has integrated fully recycled cardboard packaging and boxes into its warehouses and has further improved its environmental impact by removing nylon and plastic straps, replacing them with new straps made entirely from recycled paper and non-polluting inks.
Sustainable aluminum: 60% from recycled sources
We have taken the initiative to use aluminum sourced 60% from recycled materials in our profiles. This represents a significant step towards reducing our ecological footprint and responsibly utilizing resources.
In the future, Alusic aims to further improve this achievement by optimizing resources and recycling an additional percentage of aluminum, reaching up to 75%.
A step forward towards a Plastic-Free environment
We have initiated a gradual process to eliminate all plastic and nylon components from our packaging, not only from wraps and tapes but also by replacing traditional protective covers used for transporting profile bundles with new covers made from recycled paper. These covers, specifically designed for this purpose, are less likely to disperse in the environment and, most importantly, are easily recyclable.
